BECOME A FRIENDS FACILITATOR
Attending this one-day training workshop will certify you to introduce and maintain an ongoing FRIENDS program in your school or clinic (under the License Agreement).
Time: 9am to approximately 4pm
Cost: $360* (includes manual, workbook, additional resources, refreshments and lunch)
*Bring a colleague along and you and your colleague will receive a 10% discount; Bring two colleagues – you receive 20% discount; Bring three colleagues – you receive 30% discount; Bring four colleagues – you receive 40% discount; Bring five or more colleagues – you receive 50% discount. Attend more than one workshop and receive significant discounts. Places are strictly limited.
These programs help children cope with feelings of fear, worry and depression by building resilience and self-esteem and teaching cognitive, behavioural and emotional skills in a simple, well-structured format. Children and youth will gain skills such as:
• Dealing with difficulties, bullying and peer pressure;
• Recognising signs of anxiety;
• Relaxation techniques;
• How to change negative “red” thinking into positive “green” thoughts;
• Problem solving and positive coping strategies;
• Understanding emotions in yourself and other people;
• How to be kind and empathetic;
• How to make and maintain friendships.
FACILITATOR RE-ACCREDITATION
Facilitator re-accreditation is as easy as attending a half-day training workshop. You will gain the updated content and research knowledge necessary to maintain your currency in the field of emotional and social competence and resiliency.
Time: 9am to approximately 1pm
Cost: $260.00 (includes manual and workbook)
PSYCHOLOGISTS
Psychologists are welcome to attend FRIENDS workshops and use the program in their practice. However, they must seek permission from the author to use the trademark “FRIENDS for Life” and operate under a License Agreement.
