About Strategy Club

Pathways SC provides kids aged between 9 and 13 years of age with an opportunity to come together and have some fun without a computer! Board games are a great way to connect, learn about others, show empathy and make important social connections. 

Run on the third Thursday of each month during term time 4pm – 5:30 pm.

Upcoming sessions:

Thursday 22nd November 4pm – 5:30pm

Christmas Holiday Session: Thursday 20th December 10am – 3pm (regular members will be emailed details).

Thursday Each session is 1.5 hours and is a 1:5 ratio of participants to facilitator. Each group is capped at 10 participants.

Sessions are led by an experienced educator/counsellor.

Child aged between 9 and 13 years old come together and “hang out”. Facilitators support positive engagement and reinforce the use of positive social emotional skills.

The sessions aim to reinforce social skills, encourage empathy, and build self-esteem. 
Cost: $40 per session.

Suggestions will always be considered. Games that are challenging, fun, and promote higher order thinking are welcome. 

Note: Students can access Pathways Centre from 3:30pm on SC session days and supervision is provided by our Director Michelle.

  • Reinforce key literacy and numeracy skills through supervised practice
  • Opportunities to make and maintain friendships

Skills covered include: social and communication skills, empathy and perspective-taking, problem-solving, self-regulation and self-awareness training and learning how to create and maintain friendships.
