At Pathways, we provide individual and group based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Both are effective at addressing thoughts, feelings and behaviours, with the goal to change those that are unhelpful and unhealthy. There is a place for both formats, in fact they complement each other as they have potential for the same outcome.
We find group-based CBT very effective for most children, as it gives them an opportunity to “practice” the desired helpful and healthy behaviours with children of a similar age under the support of a qualified facilitator and clinician.
The Fun Friends Program helps guide the social and emotional development of children aged 4 to 7 by using fun, play-based group activities.
Friends for Life is a social skills and resilience building program that is recognised by the World Heath Organisation for over 12 years of comprehensive research and as an effective means to prevent anxiety for children aged 8-11.
My Friends Youth is a group-based development program that gives participants the tools to cope with the new challenges & experiences that come with the 12 to 15 year old age group.
The Adult Resilience course is ideal for students in year 11 or 12 as they may start to deal with a dramatic increase in schooling, social, and home pressures.
